Geforce GTX 1050 ti in New World || Can we play New World on Geforce GTX 1050 ti

intro

Hello and welcome back to another article, in this one, my friends, I am going to test the Geforce GTX 1050 ti in New World. This one is the Asus Strix version of the card, and I am not overclocking it as I am telling you here it is already factory overclocked, and you should not overclock your card if you're playing this game. It breaks some GPUs mostly.

It is the more expensive stuff so if you have a GTX 1050 ti or a low TDP card then it shouldn't matter too much. You can play it kind of safely and I am not responsible for any damage, but okay I am running it using a Ryzen 9 5900X and 32 Gigabytes of RAM.

1080p

Let's get right into it, shall we? let's start by going through these settings real quick. I am playing at 1080p resolution, and I am also going to test this one at 900p and 720p. I am using the low settings, I feel like these are very adequate. I am going to start counting our FPS right now, and it seems like it is super smooth, it is not like the RTX 3060 ti. I think that very high settings are kind of broken in this game because on low settings we've seen that the 750 ti didn't stutter, and the GTX 1050 ti is also not stuttering yet.

The 3060 ti was stuttering quite a bit, I feel like low settings are the way to go especially if you have a card like the GTX 1050 ti, and you want to avoid stuttering issues or low FPS speaking of uh the 30s to 40s is not too bad considering that I am here in a very intensive area. It is still kind of a tutorial you know, the GTX 1050 ti is performing way better than what I expected. I feel like at 720p it should give us more than 60 FPS all of the time, but I would probably choose the 1080p low settings experience with this card because it is an RPG title, and it is playable with like 30 plus FPS

I believe even like 25 plus FPS is playable in a game like this in my opinion, so, yeah go play this game if you have a GTX 1050 ti. I think your card won't break. I am kind of lost right now guys I don't know where to craft things okay leave it.

I think it is time for 900p we got 43 frames per second on average and 34 1% lows, it is pretty playable guys for a game like this once again. You don't need 60 frames per second, it is nice to have 60 FPS, but I think it is 100% playable like this, and you will enjoy your time playing this game at like 30 FPS just fine.

900p

Let's try it out at 1600 by 900 resolution, it does achieve 60 frames here that is good, not all of the time obviously, but this is nice. At 900p the game looks great still if you have a 1080p monitor it will look good because I am running a 32-inch 1440p monitor, and at 900p I can tell you that I would still have no problems playing this game like this.

As it still looks very decent to me and I am not sure what they're doing in this game but 900p and even 720p look great even on a monitor this big which is weird, a lot of games don't look this good at low resolutions, but yeah maybe that is something to do with their engine, I don't know. I don't know anyway, outside of town you can achieve 60 plus

720p

Let's go 1280 by 720 now, look at that 90s that is crazy. Now, these are just insane FPS right now on low settings, and I am not really CPU bound right here as we were with the 3060 ti using very high settings. I feel like low settings scale very well with CPU utilization, so, something like an i7 4770, maybe 3770 with the GTX 1050 ti should be around this performance, maybe, it will bottleneck it sometimes because CPU utilization goes from like 9to 45 per cent. It is very weird, but the 8 threaded CPU should be enough that is why they list Ryzen 5 1400 as the recommended requirements, so, I am here once again in the town area and it is not dropping from 60.

So, if you must have that 60 plus FPS experience almost all of the time because it dropped to 59 there for a second, this is it, you got to play at 720p. 720p won't look that bad, this forest area seems to be as intensive, if not more intensive than the town it is dropping here, dropped by a little bit there. It was just like a tiny little stutter, it is not a stutter because it wasn't a spike there but we got a little bit of frame time variation that is for sure the environment is just gorgeous in this game, and the sound effects I feel like I could relax, and sleep a little bit.

Hearing the nature sounds makes you sleep that is why I need to sleep here. Today there hasn't been any GTX 1050 ti's breaking with this game only like the more power-hungry GPUs, but still, always be on the lookout, and don't forget to remove the overclocks if you play it because it will run fine without them. So, yeah that has been it for today’s article, and I will catch you in the next one very soon. I hope you enjoyed it, and as always love you all bye-bye.

We're using the latest Nvidia drivers 472.12. This one is the MSI gaming X version of the card, it comes already overclocked out of the box, and I’m not pushing it further as I am telling you here, and as usual, I’m running it on a Ryzen 9 5900X and 32 Gigabytes of RAM to avoid any CPU or RAM bottlenecks, after all, we are testing the GPU here. So, we don't want to bottleneck it if we did bottleneck it we would be testing the CPU.
