New Xbox Exclusive | Project Cobalt

New Xbox Exclusive | Project Cobalt

Hello and welcome back to another article about Gaming news, in this article, I am going to inform you about the New Xbox Exclusive coming to the released this year or maybe the next year.

What's up with In-exile Entertainment after the Xbox acquisition, and what's their new game called Project Cobalt. Let's look into this In-exile Entertainment is an Xbox Game Studio developing Console NPC titles with locations in Southern California, and New Orleans established, and headed by Brian Fargo since 2003 in-exile has continually delivered high-quality experiences to passionate classic RPG funds.

They have been bringing great RPGs with deep and engaging stories and tactical thinking for the most part their last game. They delivered the Wasteland 3 received high praise from both reviewers and gamers last year. Brian Fargo confirmed via a tweet that they are working on a new game new RPG in-exile is growing very rapidly in numbers, so expect this to be a much bigger game than Wasteland 3

It will be a proper Next Generation RPG game apparently at it, and it is being made in unreal engine 5, so yet again Next-Generation Engine. Here is the tweet confirming that Brian Fargo said

“We've had quite a few questions about our Next-Gen RPG, and can confirm it will use Unreal Engine 5.”

So, there we go that's straight from the horse's mouth as they say and like I guess it's like a final confirmation that yeah it's going to be a proper Next Generation Game, so far no more details were shared officially by in-exile or Brian Fargo, but that doesn't necessarily mean we know nothing about their new project according to Windows central their new game is codenamed Cobalt, and it has a steampunk style inspired by Industrial Revolution Tech

Expect steam engines Zeppelin's retro-futuristic robots dark Victorian-era streets and more to this particular concept art, and remember this is just a concept art not a screenshot from the actual game was shared by in-exile concept artist Alexander Daniel Lavatch on art station windows central believe this is a representative of the environmental style in-exile is going to deliver now bear in mind like I said before this is not the actual image from the game it's not a game graphics it just gives you an idea you know how the game may look like right because I’ve seen already some people saying that's not from the game.

It's not from the game, it's just a representation of an environment that may be used in that particular game right, so you know just wanted to make that clear looks like their new game will be a bit different to what they have delivered in the past also their previous game previous games were more tactical focused with an isometric view their new title is to be on FPS RPG just like Fallout first-person view which suggests more action-oriented games this time around. Now, I said Fallout, but you may as well just say Skyrim all I’m saying is that it's not going to be like Fallout or Skyrim

I’m just saying that you will have the FPS view not a third-person view like over the shoulder just FPS right it's still going to be an RPG in-exile new game hasn't been officially revealed yet, so no release date is known Venture Beat Editor Jeff Grubb previously stated that in-exile new game could be targeting a 2023 release. He stated that a while ago, and I would not be surprised if this game slipped into 2024 with Covid-19 still affecting developers.

This is true for many games in development I mean we've seen so many games being delayed even recently several titles that were planned to release this year slipped into the next year, so I wouldn't be surprised if that kind of game a big RPG title would slip as well, and to be honest with you this is just like an internal planned release date not like official one right.

So, don't quote me or Jeff Grub on that so that's all I have to share with you about in the in-exile Project Cobalt today. I hope you enjoyed this article, share your views in the comments down below and also share this on social media to spread the world all about these upcoming new IPs and what Microsoft is doing. Thanks a lot, guys for your support I really appreciate it, and I will see you all in the next one take care of yourself.

We're using the latest Nvidia drivers 472.12. This one is the MSI gaming X version of the card, it comes already overclocked out of the box, and I’m not pushing it further as I am telling you here, and as usual, I’m running it on a Ryzen 9 5900X and 32 Gigabytes of RAM to avoid any CPU or RAM bottlenecks, after all, we are testing the GPU here. So, we don't want to bottleneck it if we did bottleneck it we would be testing the CPU.
