10 Things to know about GTA Trilogy || GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition
Welcome back guys to my Gaming News Series, today I’ll be going over 10 things you must know about the GTA TrilogyDefinitive Edition. I’ve combined everything we know so far from retailers inside sources with reliable track records, and of course um detail from official sources from Rockstar themselves.
Fact No. 1
So, let's jump right into the first one and that is the physical releases appear to be delayed so the good news is here that retailers have confirmed that physical editions of the remastered GTA Trilogy definitive edition do exist, but the bad news is we will be waiting longer for these physical versions, and according to these retailers they've been given different release dates for last-gen versus new gen.
Fact No. 2
The Playstation 4, Xbox One and Switch editions are going to release physically on the December 7th whereas to get your hands on a physical version of the Playstation 5 or Xbox series X and S version, you're going to have to wait sometime next year to get that physical copy, and this information comes from European distributors that have already received production details.
They have started collecting orders from their stores now, I always prefer to have the physical edition of my games, so if you are like me, and you do also want to play the game at launch, it might end up you have to purchase this twice to get a digital version to play at launch.
Fact No. 3
Then also to purchase the physical edition when it is available next up we have an exact release date for the Definitive Editions which is November 11th of this year 2021, and allegedly Rockstar will be making an official announcement on GTA 3's 20th anniversary later this month, confirming this release date for the digital editions.
Fact No. 4
There's probably going to be a lot of different confusing release dates as the IOS and Android versions are also not coming until the first half of 2022, next year the next thing to go over and this is quite a big one is pricing now retailers have confirmed the remaster will be sold at full price, that's 70 $ or 60$.
If you get a last Last-Gen copy so the prices are slightly different
depending on what platform you buy on. If you're buying the definitive edition
on Playstation 4, Nintendo Switch or Xbox one those have been listed at a
retail price of 60 or 60
pounds. If you're in the UK
and then if you're playing on Next-Gen consoles so the Xbox series X and S or the Playstation 5.
Fact No. 5
You’re going to be paying up to 70 which are pretty pricey for a remaster but I think Rockstar knows their audience will probably buy their games no matter what the price is honestly this is also in line with what Strass is Zelnick who is the CEO of Rockstar games.
10 Things to know about GTA Trilogy || GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition
His parent company has said himself
that he thinks consumers are ready to pay 70 dollars for
all Next-Gen games, and he's already started to price other
games under his umbrella at that 70 dollar price tag.
Fact No. 6
So, it's not out of the question to expect to pay this much for this Trilogy next up all of the achievements for the GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition have also been data mined, and they look awesome now what we can't see is the name or description of each achievement but we can see all of the updated icons for each of the three games including the Trilogy, and guys don't the artwork and these icons just look so awesome.
I want to give full credit here to allocator for data
mining and sharing these and there's a different one for GTA 3, Vice City, and San AndrĂ©a’s. All in their various themes of each game which I
thought looked cool.
Fact No. 7
Fact number 7 these games apparently will be running in unreal engine 4. Rockstar themselves have not yet confirmed this however the Official Rockstar Games Launcher has given it away with code in there found referencing the unreal engines. So, it's pretty confirmed that these games will be kind of remastered using a different engine than they were created in, which is very interesting.
Fact No. 8
At the number 8 spot, Kotaku's sources confirmed it'll be
a mix of new and old graphics gameplay of the remastered titles that are
staying true to the Playstation
2 eras of those GTA games
as much as possible.
Fact No. 9
The UI for these games is being updated too but will still retain the same classic style we're used to for these games the Official Rockstar newswire although brief did confirm that the definitive edition will feature across the board upgrades including graphical improvements and modern gameplay enhancements for all three titles while still maintaining that classic look, and feel of the originals.
Rockstar did also
confirm in the same article that they will be adding special gear to collect in Grand Theft Auto Online as part of their 20th-anniversary celebration
for GTA 3, and not only that but also hinted at the next DLC for GTA 5.
Fact No. 10
Unfortunately, we have no new information on what the
next Red Dead DLC will be, we're assuming Rockstar will continue
following in their pattern of updating both games at the same time twice a
year. We can expect a Red
Dead Update alongside
this GTA online DLC that is confirmed to be releasing later this year so guys
do let me know down in the comments below if you're going to be picking up the
GTA Trilogy Definitive Edition, and if you are, let me know what platform and
if you're going to be getting a physical
or digital version. I think I
am going to end up buying this a few times. I want the Nintendo Switch version, and of course the Xbox version which is my main platform.
