RX 580 in Battlefield 1 at 1080p, 1440p and 4K
Intro
Welcome back to another article, in this one my friends I’m going to be testing the RX 580 Gigabyte in Battlefield 1 and yeah I just noticed that I didn't have an article on the RX 580 in Battlefield 1. Since Battlefield 1 is one of my favourite games to play right now, I thought I'd do it today. So, this is RX 580 8 gigabyte, this is the XFX GTX version of the card we are of course running the latest AMD drivers with it.
These are the clock speeds out of the box I pushed the power limit to plus 30 so we consistently achieve them otherwise it will throttle a little bit and as usual, we're running it with a Ryzen 9 5900X and 32 gigabytes of RAM to get the most out of the RX 580 here without any CPU bottlenecks, in case, if you're wondering a Ryzen 5 3600 will get the most out of this card as well. You don't need a 5900x.
1080p Ultra Settings
So, let's get into it, shall we? first of all, let's go through the settings I’m playing at 1080p resolution and we're playing of course using the Ultra settings. Let's go, it's the last sector already and our team is getting wrecked and they just reached the final objective that's perfect. We just joined, let's carry our team right, so, FPS here at ultra settings and 1080p resolution seem to be decent you know but never mind this is not going to last. I’m not even going to count the FPS in this server guys.

All right let's get a couple of kills here to enjoy these beautiful graphics and FPS because it's good, let's start counting our frames it's performing well still guys of course in this map it's a different one, slightly less intensive I believe. I just love these graphics by the way guys, its a 2016 game and it's five years old but still, it looks amazing. We're getting 69 close guys that's beautiful.
1440p High Settings
We're playing at 1440p now and I changed the settings to High instead of Ultra at this resolution. I think it's more adequate half of our forces remain and I guess it's like the second sector, I've never played this one actually, let’s start counting our FPS and it seems like the 1440p high settings experience is very similar to the 1080p Ultra settings experience. I would play like this my friends I have a 1440p monitor and it's looking very sharp and pretty much the same as Ultra settings, look at the graphics though it's a 2016 game still, it looks so awesome man.

By the way, if you're looking for a high refresh rate experience in this game you can have it with the Low settings or Medium settings at 1080p for example you know it's so obvious I think at this point even at 1440p if you use low settings it's going to be a high refresh rate experience. it's running so well on high, like this is insane I would choose to play like this guys.
4K High Settings
I wonder if 4k high is playable so 3840 by 2160 High settings first then we're going to drop it to the medium, of course, that's more adequate, I think uh the 40s you know what it’s not too bad I could live with this I played a lot of Battlefield 3 back in the day with these FPS and I still had a ton of fun. But you know you can't always drop the settings here with the RX 580 you don't need to play at 4k High in my opinion.
It's a little bit jankier moving the mouse around and doing those quick flicks but still do-able you can get used to it as well, so, if you are looking for that high fidelity experience and high resolution the 4k high will do that of course I don't recommend it though.
4K Resolution - 100 render scale
4k resolution 100 render scale using medium settings now I think it's probably going to be way slower than the previous resolution on high actually around the same and now we're at native 4k resl. So, this might be a decent option if you don't mind a couple of drops from 60 most of the time it's going to drop from 60. I think that I have noticed that our GPU temperatures are high I mean below 80 degrees is fine.

It's totally safe and it's not going to harm anything because we are pushing the power limit to plus 30%, so, it will heat up a little bit more that's actually what XFX recommends though at least with this GPU model. They give you some information in the box, we got it nice about how to push the power limit further to achieve the rated clock speeds on the box because otherwise it will not do that said I’m liking the experience here. It's very smooth and playable.
If you care about graphics you will play on low settings at 4k but well I don't know maybe you have a 4K monitor and this will actually be pretty decent very sharp you know and you can spot people at the distance. For everybody, it’s still very playable well above 60 FPS. I like that very much, it's getting around the same FPS as 1080p Ultra settings and 1440p High, for example, so, this is a decent experience definitely, but of course, 1440p high looked a heck of a lot better than this. all right so that's been it for 4k I think that's been it for the article actually it runs quite well on the RX 580 I don't think anybody doubted that because well it's quite an old title, and it runs well.
So, thank you very much for reading this article, I hope you guys enjoyed it and I'll catch you in the next one very soon as always love you all bye-bye.
